The Amsterdam Center for International Law (ACIL)
The Amsterdam Center for International Law (ACIL) is the research center for public international law, including international criminal law of the Faculty of Law, University of Amsterdam. Its aim is to solidify and expand the position of the Faculty as one of the leading research centres for international law in the Netherlands and to serve as a focal point for co-operation with foreign institutions and researchers in the international law field.

The Amsterdam Centre of Environmental Law and Sustainability
The Amsterdam Centre for Environmental Law and Sustainability (formerly: Centrum voor Milieurecht) is a research-group of the Faculty of Law, specialised in international and European environmental law. Its research programme focus on environmental law as a means of orienting market processes towards sustainable development. From this perspective the focus is on the problem of climate change.

The Centre for the Study of European Contract Law (CSECL) is a reseach centre that aims at promoting high-quality research in the area of European Contract Law. Hugo Sinzheimer Institute (HSI)
The Hugo Sinzheimer Institute (HSI) evolved from the cooperative relationship between the labour law and social security law department and the sociology of law department. The institute's objective is to apply legal and socio-scientific studies to contribute towards the further development of theories related to the relationship between social, economic and socio-economic trends and labour and social security law, otherwise known as social law. The HSI strives to connect legal and socio-scientific questions and methodology with one another in both practical and theoretical research.
