Centre for the Study of European Contract Law
Visiting fellow Silvia D'Attoma
Silvia D'Attoma (University of Teramo and student of prof. Anna Veneziano) will join the Centre for three months (until 1 July 2009) as visiting fellow to do some research for her thesis and to attend the csecl seminars.
Silvia was born in 1985 in L'Aquila (Italy) and from 2004 she is studying at the Faculty of Law of the University of Teramo.
She has always been interested in travelling (especially in the north State), learning other traditions. That is why she is preparing a thesis in Comparative Private Law (in particular the title of the thesis is ‘the Common Frame of Reference on the European Contract Law').
Actually she doesn't focus on the content of the CFR, but she makes an overview of the background: which was the situation of the law in Europe and which was (and is still) the EC's intervention on that area. Then she analyses the doctrine on the opportunity of the making of a Civil Code of European Private Law, both favourable authors and opposite ones.
She should graduate at the end of October, whereafter she will probably going to find a job abroad, inside the European Community.
