Symposium EC Directive proposal consumer rights
On 28 January 2009 the CSECL organised a symposium about the European Commission's proposal for a Directive on Consumer Rights. Renowned speakers gave their opinion on the draft Directive and its effects on Dutch consumer law and contract law. SECOLA conference 'The Common Frame of Reference and the Future of European Contract Law'
In co-operation with the Society of European Contract Law (SECOLA), on 1 and 2 June 2007 an international conference was organised on the future of European Contract Law. Scholars from various countries discussed the development of a Common Frame of Reference for this field of law. Furthermore, the European Commissioner for Consumers, Meglena Kuneva, presented the European Commission's perspective on the topic.
