WELCOME TO THE ACIL
Research Institute for International law
The ACIL, located in the heart of Amsterdam, is the research institute for public international law, including international criminal law and one of the Faculty's Centers of Excellence.
Research programmes within the ACIL in particular focus on international constitutional law (including human rights law), international responsibility, international criminal justice, and the reception of international law in the domestic legal order.
Aim of the ACIL is to solidify and expand the position of the Faculty as one of the leading research centres for international law in the Netherlands and to serve as a focal point for co-operation with foreign institutions and researchers in the international law field.
