The ACIL considers proposals from external candidates for Ph.D. research, leading to the award of the degree of Doctor of the University of Amsterdam. The ACIL only considers research proposals which fall within the ACIL Research Programmes (to be found under “Research”).

The External Ph.D. Programme applies only to the ACIL, not to the other research institutes of the Faculty of Law.
